Katie Rusu, M.Ed., has extensive experience in executive dysfunction, learning disabilities, and counseling practice. She has worked with all school-age groups. Prior to joining the coaching team at Orchid, Mrs. Rusu was a School Counselor in a local school system for eight years and worked at both the middle and high school levels. Mrs. Rusu has been trained on working with students on Executive Functions both through her Master’s Degree in Counseling as well as through the school system for many years. Mrs. Rusu has found a passion for working with students both with ADHD and Executive Functioning and served as case manager for students with 504 Plans during her tenure in the school system.
Mrs. Rusu received her bachelor’s degree in Human Development and Family Studies at The Pennsylvania State University and her master’s degree in School Counseling at Slippery Rock University in PA. She has completed several continuing education courses and seminars on executive function education as well as student disabilities. As part of her professional duties, she has provided professional training and workshops on these topics to staff in the public schools.
